25th Congress of the European Sleep Research Society
September 22 - September 25
The European Sleep Research Society is an international non-profit organisation whose purpose is to promote research on sleep and related areas, to improve the care for patients with sleep disorders, and to facilitate the dissemination of information regarding sleep research and sleep medicine.
The Spanish Sleep Society was founded in 1991 and has currently almost 600 active members from both basic sleep research and clinical sleep medicine. Famous for its unique atmosphere and the hospitality of its inhabitants, Seville represents the spirit of Andalusian culture. The passing through of different cultures added to the fact that its port was the gate to America and one of the most important ones during the 16th century, has clearly marked its open character.
Centuries of history have transformed Seville into a city with a distinct personality, which has one of the biggest and best-conserved historical centers in Europe, as well as a beautiful and important artistic heritage. It possesses monuments declared patrimony of humanity: the Cathedral (the largest gothic temple of Christianity in the world), the Reales Alcázares palace (jewel of Sevillian Mudejar architecture), the Archivo General de Indias (General Archive of the Indies, home to the documents related to the Discovery and conquest of the New World).
Seville is well connected by plane with many European cities and also by high speed train with the center of Spain and most of Andalusian main cities. Seville is a quiet city, ideal for walking through its beautiful streets, its gardens and its parks. Perfect to enjoy its incredible monuments, the coolness of its thousands year old river and riverbanks.
The scientific level of the ESRS Congress and the attractiveness of the city of Seville guarantee the interest of the sleep professionals to attend this important event.
We hope you will enjoy the meeting and we are looking forward to welcoming you to Seville in 2020!
